Last Minute Halloween Costumes

Hey guys! So if you're anything like me, it means you procrastinate a lot. And when I say a lot, I mean a lot. But that pretty much means any high school/college aged student. I'm sitting in my room, wasting my night on the internet, and I realized that tomorrow is Halloween. TOMORROW IS HALLOWEEN AND I STILL DON'T HAVE AN EXACT COSTUME YET. So here is my little collection of costumes that could easily be made at home!

Femme de le Futur

While this costume isn't exactly made from items sitting around my house, I'm absolutely in love with the idea of doing a sort of 60s-esque futuristic costume. That's why I went with the big, round shades and the turtleneck! I'm definitely going to have to be this for Halloween next year... Unless I get my hands on a holographic skirt by Saturday

Alex DeLarge

I am in love with this novel and movie. I first read it last year around this time, and I just recently reread the book. In fact I was Alex DeLarge for a party last Friday, and it turned out wonderfully. Granted no one knew who I was, which was a downside. I kept hearing,"Did you forget to do one eye of makeup or something?" Sigh. Anyway, if you haven't seen/read A Clockwork Orange, I completely recommend it. Whether you're a malchikiwick or a young devotchka, get together with your droogs and just put together an all-white outfit at the heigth of fashion, a black hat upon your gulliver, a black staff to hold your nozh, and don't forget your black boots to take part in a little of the ultra-violence. ;)

Housewife

If your closet looks anything like mine, all you have to do to recreate this outfit is reach in and grab the first dress you see! All jokes aside, this look is actually pretty easy to pull together, and it all works with a good cat-eye and red lips. Don't forget your apron and cookbook!

AHS Witch

This is not your typical witch outfit. This is inspired by the new season of American Horror Story; Zoe wears something similar to this in the first episode, and I fell in love with her outfit the first moment I saw it. Wear all black with a pointed booty to pull in the witchy vibe, and don't forget your wide-rimmed, black hat and smoky eye!

Hippie/Elf

So this one may seem lackluster compared to the other four, but I promise it isn't! It's a dual costume. You can be either an elf or a hippie, depending on your preference. A hippie would add maybe a head wrap and sandals, whereas an elf would add a cape and elf ears. It's adjustable to your preferences!

These are some different costumes I put together that you can create with things (mostly) out of your closet. I hope it helps some last minute people like myself! I'll talk to you guys soon. :)

  1. Aw, I love these! I really like the "Space Age" vibe that the first one evokes. And how could no one not know what A Clockwork Orange is?? Gasp!
